Oncology Clinic

A large, suburban oncology practice acquired a 2.3 acre site in southwestern suburban Chicago with the intent to deliver medical oncology services to the aging demographic. The 25,000 SF stand-alone facility will consolidate the multiple offices of the medical practice into one central location. The site is situated at the intersection of two major, highly trafficked thoroughfares in the southwest suburbs where visibility and site access are the primary considerations given to the development of the design. Preliminary site analysis and conceptual images for the two-story facility were developed to validate the design of medical tenant space on the first floor and oncology services on the second. Site restrictions and natural urban characteristics create a unique opportunity and add dialogue to the second floor suite, designed to control views from the Infusion Bays onto a private terrace, over adjacent parking spaces and apart from the noise of the metropolitan environment.
