The design for the Spine & Orthopedics Unit offers the West Michigan Lakeshore community more advanced healthcare in a setting to deliver high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience. Consistently ranked among the 50 Best Hospitals in America by Healthgrades, the institution continues its strong commitment to the people and community it serves. The 27,800 SF vertical expansion adds 24 private patient rooms in support of the Joint Replacement Program and Neurosciences, including classrooms and specialized therapy facilities located on the floor. The project required careful planning considerations and an expedited construction schedule to add an entire floor on top of an existing Critical Care Unit with minimal disruptions, noise limitations requirements and compressed work schedules. The result of working with all design team participants is a unique facility which supports a medical team specially trained and experienced in an interdisciplinary, patient-centered approach to health and wellness.
