Inspired by the Hospitals' desire to create an academic feel to the campus, M&CA completed a multi-year, multi-phase plan to reorganize and expand the institution.
This project focuses on a new 30-bed critical care/step-down unit, expanded nursery services, emergency services, a new cafeteria and main entrance.
Clear corridor circulation connects two points of entry to the facility and provides patients and visitors with visual cues to assist in wayfinding.
Also, closing two city streets that bisected the campus allowed for expansion of surface parking and improved vehicular circulation.
