Edward Hospital — Naperville, Illinois
Heart Hospital
New approaches to the delivery of healthcare were introduced in this cardiology focused hospital-within-a-hospital.
Decentralized nursing stations, family and staff interaction, quality of care, staff recruitment and retention, and new operational approaches influenced the design of this facility—the first cardiology-dedicated hospital in the Chicago metropolitan area.
The Heart Hospital contains 71 beds, including a 15-bed CCU and two 28-bed all-private room bed units within its 145,125 square feet.
Three new floors have been completed to provide additional CCU and medical/surgical patient rooms.
