Palos Health (formerly Palos Community Hospital) recently completed a major renovation of the North and South Towers of the existing St. George Pavilion at the Palos Heights, IL campus
The multi-phased project was developed as part of an earlier master plan which outlined the conversion of semi-private patient rooms to private as a result of construction of the new 192 bed Hospitaller Pavilion completed in 2013.

Edward-Elmhurst Health Occupies New Endoscopy Department
Edward Hospital opened a newly expanded endoscopy department at its Naperville campus. This $6M, 12,700 SF, 2-phase construction project meets the needs of the growing population and provides the community with access to the latest medical technology. The department includes 6 procedure rooms, space for a future procedure room, 21 pre/post patient holding rooms, a waiting area and necessary support spaces.

The multi-phased project comprised the complete redesign and renovation of the existing dietary department including, public and private dining rooms, vending area, servery and kitchen.

Holland Hospital recently opened a $1.4 million, 12,150 SF Urgent Care Facility on its’ north side Lakeshore Medical Campus located in Holland, MI. The move to a larger space was prompted by growth demand from 6,000 patient visits in 2001 to 30,000 patient visits in 2014.

Phase I of the 6,350 GSF addition and renovation of the Cancer Center at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois has been completed and occupied. Included in the first phase is the new Linear Accelerator, staff support facilities and all new HVAC, power and utility infrastructure.

Edward Hospital just completed a 57 month construction project to renovate their occupied Obstetrics Department on its Naperville, IL campus. The multi-phases project included Staff Offices and Support, 33 Post-partum Patient Rooms, a 16 bassinet Nursery, (2)-12 bassinet Nurseries, 16 LDR’s, 5 Triage spaces, 22 Private NICU Rooms, 8 bassinet NICU step-down Nursery, C-Section Post-Anesthesia Recovery, Lactation Clinic and Support Spaces.

Edward Hospital recently opened a two-floor addtion to the West Building on its Naperville, IL campus. The $40.9 million (project cost), 66,250 square foot project, which started mid-2012 and took about two years to construct, features a new Orthopedic & Spine Center and Intensive Care Unit.

Holland Hospital recently opened a $6.3 million, 33,000 square foot Medical Office Building addition to their campus located in Holland, MI. The Spectrum Health Heart & Vascular Center will occupy 10,000 square feet on the first floor of the facility and will house a cardiology team from West Michigan Heart.

Matthei & Colin Associates Designing Hybrid Operating Rooms at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center
Matthei & Colin Associates is designing two hybrid operating rooms(OR) at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center located in Chicago, Ill. Consisting of two 800 sq.ft. ORs, this is one of the first steps towards implementing the operating room integration system. The renovations project cost is $2+ million. One hybrid OR is dedicated to the CT-guided neurosurgery and the other is a single plane vascular room.

Matthei & Colin Associates is designing two hybrid operating rooms at Advocate Christ Hospital located in Oak Lawn, Ill. comprising 850-1000 sq ft each and part of a $3.5 million construction project taking place this year. The new hybrid operating rooms consist of one biplane room and one robotic single plane room providing cutting-edge diagnostics for adult and pediatric cardiology, complex vascular, and neurosurgery.
